Friends Tab & Activity Feed

How the Friends tab works, including your friends list, today's leaderboard, and the activity feed.

Updated over 2 months ago

The Friends tab is available on Mover and Crusher plans.

The Friends Tab

The Friends tab is your social hub inside MoveTogether. It brings together your friends list, a daily leaderboard, and a live activity feed — all in one place. Tap the Friends icon in the bottom navigation bar to access it.

Your Friends

At the top of the Friends tab, you'll see your friends displayed as profile circles. A green dot means they're currently active, and a gray dot means they're offline. You can see how many friends you have and how many are active today. Tap See all friends to view your full friends list, or tap the Add button to invite new friends.

The top-right corner has quick access to messages and friend requests.

Today's Leaderboard

Below your friends list is Today's Leaderboard — a daily ranking of you and all your friends based on today's activity. You can see everyone's current score, how many rings they've closed (e.g., "2/3 rings"), and where you rank among your circle. Your row is highlighted so you can quickly spot your position.

This leaderboard updates throughout the day as everyone's activity syncs, giving you a fun way to stay motivated and see how you compare with friends — even outside of formal competitions.

Recent Activity

Below the leaderboard is your Recent Activity feed. It shows real-time updates from your friends whenever they hit a milestone. Every update is about real progress someone in your circle has made.

Your feed includes activities like:

  • Competition Won — A friend won a competition (e.g., "Won 'FAM Competition'! 🏆 Beat 3 competitors").

  • Streak Milestone — A friend hit a new daily activity streak (7 days, 14 days, etc.).

  • Rings Closed — A friend closed all their activity rings for the day.

  • Achievement Unlocked — A friend earned a new achievement or medal.

  • Workout Completed — A friend logged a workout session.

Reacting to Activities

You can cheer your friends on by tapping React on any activity in the feed. Choose from:

  • 🔥 Fire — "That's hot!"

  • 👏 Clap — "Great job!"

  • ❤️ Heart — "Love it!"

  • 💪 Muscle — "So strong!"

  • 🎉 Party — "Let's celebrate!"

Each person can add one reaction per activity. Tap your reaction again to remove it.

Who Sees Your Activities?

Only your friends can see your activities in their feed. You control this in Settings → Privacy → Activity Sharing. Toggle off Show my activity in friends' feeds to hide all your activities. Your competition scores and leaderboard rank are still visible to competition participants.
